Harry Potter Wizards Collection, $349.99 for preorder via Amazon

I’m too broke for this shit.

SO MANY FEELINGS. ALL OF THE FEELINGS.

Pretty sure I cried through 70% of the film, but I don’t even care. Everything was beautiful and nothing everything hurt (in a good way).

It was dark, very dark, but also incredibly touching. There are so many things to say about the series but most of them have been said before by people more eloquent than I. I will say that I’m happy the movies exist. Many people were against them, popularizing a series that - for children - was a major reading milestone. But I’ll say I’m happy more people have been touched by the story and I’m overall really happy with the way it has been portrayed. So much justice to J. K. Rowling’s incredible and timeless world.

I’m going to see it again, and again. And I don’t think it’ll stop touching me, ever.

I just want to write out, finally:

Thank you J. K. Rowling for this beautiful gift that you’ve given the world. You have put magic in my life, and in the lives of so many others, and we are all grateful.

“Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”

“It’s real for us.”

This post is going around (like hotcakes, 15K likes), but it’s too bright. I took a stab at the same concept and fell somewhere around here. The tinny-ness is from the crappy software, but you get the point.

I think it would be haunting if they took the first bit of the music we ever heard… and recycled it for the track “Harry’s Sacrifice.” But - slow it down to the point where it crawls over our skin. I took the liberty of trying it out, the whole slowing down process.

“Lumos (Hedwig’s Theme)” with pitch slowed 40% and the key changed “4 semi tones”
