Did anyone else notice this*? *”This” being how TARDIS-like that cabinet and sconce were? The ‘shop job in frame 2 is mine, obvi. |

I didn’t like “The God Complex” because it forced me to have real, stomach-churning emotions about the fact that one day Amy will end her TARDIS tenure and I’m not ready for that. |

“The Girl Who Waited”I love that Moffat and the DW writers are exploring echoes of what they’ve already established. It is so literary and so beautiful. Example: establishing that the word “doctor” and its meaning as a healer or a savior comes from The Doctor and echoing that with Amy’s nickname “The Girl Who Waited” being balanced in Rory (“The Boy Who Waited”) as well as her own future self. It’s the idea that our nicknames become self-fulfilling prophecies as well as nomers, with all past and future selves defined under that one term. It’s such an amazingly complex and simple thought at the same time… such brilliance. |
