Your Doctor has creds. I can do weddings.
Tell me how to sell it? Anyone?
No?
Sigh.
Doctor of Divinity! You’re a doctor of transcendental power. You have POWERS!
I’m jealous. A PhD just gives you an ulcer and makes you depressed.
Trust me, a doctor of divinity can be bought.
A PhD has promise.
2 days agoI have many talents.
Write me a prescription?
My talents are limited. Hows about I send you a bottle of of vodka and some chocolate covered Ritz?
I’d drive to Ohio for vow renewals if it were something you wanted.
Yours,

2 days agoSelling myself to online people is even scarier.
I have ideas of how I can bring in some income as I look for employment. I’ve registered internet domains, I just need to figure out how to sell myself.
It’s not going well.

5 days agoI will never understand why a matter of civil rights for a group of people should be left to a vote of the populous. I understand the idea of the election of congresspeople and the president being a matter of popular vote as they are representatives of their constituents, but constituents are constituents of all kinds.
In a lot of states, had people not gone against the popular ideal, we’d still have women unable to vote, people of color without any attempt at rights equal to their white counterparts, and overtly hostile attitudes toward immigrants.
I’ll admit the last two are still happening. There is a fear of those who are different from ourselves, but we are all (with a small exception) not from here. We’re all different.
We are all different. We, except for the Native Americans, are all from somewhere else. We all have different beliefs and ideas, we come from backgrounds that oppose each other but our ancestors came here to find something they couldn’t find where they were.
To shut out anyone is preposterous. Our nation is not Christian, Arab, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, or anything else.
Our flag pledge may say “under god,” but “god” is subject to the mental construct of the person hearing the word.
Your god is not mine. Your god is not the god of the person next to you in church, mosque, temple, street corner, or anywhere.
Judge me as you wish, it’s your right, but our government does not have that right. Nor do they have the right to deny you or I any right they give any other citizen of this country.
Not a sermon, just a thought.
